We are excited to share that PwC has independently reviewed the Carbonfact LCA methodology and confirmed its compliance with the ISO 14040:2006 and ISO 14044:2006 standards. This verification was conducted through a limited assurance engagement in accordance with the International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) 3000 (Revised).
ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 define internationally recognized standards for conducting LCA studies. These standards outline the principles, framework, requirements, and guidelines for evaluating the environmental impacts of products across their entire life cycle, from raw material extraction to end-of-life.
Carbonfact’s LCA method is built upon these standards, ensuring a structured and scientifically grounded approach to impact modeling. This includes guidance on goal definition, system boundaries, data quality, allocation procedures, and interpretation of results.
