November ‘25 Product Release: Introducing Carbonfact’s AI Copilot, easier Rules and richer Product LCAs

We’re adding three new features that make Carbonfact faster, more intuitive, and autonomous: Copilot, your new AI assistant trained on Carbonfact’s documentation, a better way to set up your Rules, and improved detail in your platform’s Product Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs).

These updates are designed to help you work smarter, not harder, so you can focus on what matters most: decarbonization.

Update 1: Copilot – the AI assistant trained on Carbonfact’s documentation

You can now ask Carbonfact’s Copilot any question about how the platform works or how its science is built – directly inside Carbonfact.

Whether you’re wondering how you can add a new facility to the platform, what the French Eco-Score’s mandatory parameters are, or which energy sources Carbonfact supports, Copilot gives you answers sourced from our official documentation.

Copilot lives in the bottom-right of your screen – all you have to do is click it and type a question.

Each answer links back to its documentation source, so you can trust the response and dig deeper if needed.

What’s next: This first version focuses on Carbonfact’s documentation. In the coming months, we’ll expand Copilot’s knowledge. Examples of these include standards such as the GHG Protocol and PEFCR, helping you connect platform insights to the wider sustainability landscape. 

Copilot will be live on November 13.

Update 2: Rules are now easier, faster, and more transparent

Rules help you fill in missing data or override default assumptions with your own verified information. And now we’ve completely redesigned how you create and manage them in Carbonfact.

Previously, Rule setup required navigating multiple pages and remembering rule types. Now, you can create, view, and edit Rules directly from the place you would need them most: the Issues page. Once an issue with data has been spotted, you can immediately alleviate it by setting a Rule that makes up for missing data.

The updated Rules experience gives you:

• A clearer Rules table, with reorganized columns and instant visibility into each rule’s details
• Simplified creation flow, guiding you through parameters and conditions intuitively
• Greater transparency, showing how each rule affects your product data

These improvements make rule management more intuitive and put you in control of how data behaves across your products.

Update 3: Enriched Product LCAs

Your Products page has been upgraded for clarity and completeness. Every LCA now shows more detail than before.

The new Products page view now surfaces more of the data you care about – including factory information, energy mix and share per step, emission factor sources, and applied rules – all in a more readable layout.

We’ve also:

• Displayed Use and End-of-life emission factors directly in the side panel
• Reworked the distribution block to show detailed transport modes and their impact
• Revamped the SKU selection process to allow you to select Color, Size, Factory, Year, so you can easily find the SKU you are looking for

The result: more transparency and better traceability across every stage of your product’s footprint.
